The Beginning
Born from a love of
Guatemalan coffee
Café Nena was born from a simple love for great coffee and a desire to share it with the world. Our founders grew up with the rich, bold flavors of Central American coffee — the kind brewed slowly, sipped with family, and remembered for a lifetime.
They decided it was time the world knew about it too. Not a corporation's version of "specialty coffee" — but real, honest, small-batch Arabica. The kind that tastes like home.
So they packed their passion, moved to Miami, and started roasting. Every bag that leaves our roastery carries a little piece of Guatemala and a little piece of Miami — two cultures, one cup.
"Every bag carries a piece of home — and a little piece of Miami."
— The Café Nena Story
Origin
Where It Comes From
From a specific altitude, soil, and climate — our beans carry the story of the Guatemalan highlands in every single sip.
STEP ONE
01
Volcanic Soil, Guatemalan Highlands
Our Arabica beans are grown in the high-altitude volcanic regions of Guatemala — a terroir known worldwide for producing some of the most complex and flavorful coffee on Earth. The rich mineral soil, cool mountain air, and ideal rainfall create beans unlike any other.
STEP TWO
02
Hand-Picked with Care
Only the ripest cherries are hand-selected by skilled local farmers — people who've worked this land for generations. We work directly with these farming communities, ensuring fair practices and preserving the traditional knowledge that makes our coffee exceptional.
STEP THREE
03
Small Batch Roasted in Miami
Once the green beans arrive in Miami, they're roasted in small, carefully monitored batches to bring out each variety's unique character. We roast to order — meaning your coffee is never sitting on a shelf. It's fresh, always.

The Roastery
Roasted in Miami, FL
Miami isn't just where we roast — it's part of our identity. This city is a bridge between the Americas, a place where Latin culture thrives and flavors from across the continent find a home.
Our roastery is a small, hands-on operation. We control every variable — temperature, timing, airflow — to coax out the best that each batch has to offer. No shortcuts. No compromises.
We're proud to be a Miami-based brand that celebrates where our coffee comes from and where it's made. Two places, one cup.
The Name
What does Nena mean?

Nena (n.)
In Latin culture, nena is a term of warmth and endearment — used for someone you love, someone close to you. Like the word "sweetheart" or "darling," but with a Latin heartbeat.
This coffee is named with that same intention. Every batch is made with care for the people we love and the mornings that matter. When you hold a bag of Café Nena, we want you to feel that warmth.
It's not just coffee. It's a feeling. The feeling of a warm cup on a cool morning, shared with someone you love.
